NEW YORK - Golfers and golf fans alike all across the fantasy sports world rejoiced on Wednesday when the Almighty Royal Council of Metropolitana unanimously agreed to sanction the Metropolitan Golf League (MGL). Met Leaguers will now get a chance to compete against each other on the links by picking a real-life team of PGA golfers each week.

The MGL will be run entirely through the Yahoo! Fantasy Sports platform, so any Met Leaguer wishing to participate will need a Yahoo! account. Former MBLS commissioner Joe Cesarano - who reportedly met with the Council in the fall after a round at a public golf course in suburban New York - announced that he will oversee the new league, and full details regarding membership will be emailed to everyone within the Met Leagues sports community.
