ELIGIBILITY

1. All Met League contests - collectively known as the Global Games - are open to any person who manages a team within a MetLeagues.com simulation league, or any person who registers for a MetLeagues.com account.

PROPOSING NEW CONTESTS

1. Any Met Leaguer may propose a new contest by posting it in the Contests section of the appropriate board on the Met League forum.

2. All contest proposals must follow the format established on the boards and specify sections marked Description, Game Play, Awards, End Date and Entry Deadline.

3. All contests will become "official" and binding once five Met Leaguers reply to the post with their contest entries.

4. Any contest with less than five entries after the Entry Deadline passes will be declared null and void.

GAME PLAY

1. Every contest creator must outline the contest rules in the Game Play section of each contest post.

2. Contest creators should be as specific as possible in outlining contest rules in the Game Play section.

3. All prediction contests should have rules prohibiting or discouraging later entrants from copying the entries of earlier entrants in the contest.

MANAGEMENT

1. All contests will be managed and overseen by the creator of the contest and members serving as officers or council members in any MetLeagues.com sim league.

2. Officers and council members reserve the right to cancel or suspend any contest at any time for any reason.

REWARDS

1. All rewards for winning or prevailing in a MetLeagues.com contest will be in the form of "metros" - game points that can be exchanged for fantasy cash amounts in a MetLeagues.com sim sports league.

2. Please note: Metros do not have any real monetary value, and technically do not exist outside of the Met Leagues fantasy sports universe. They should never under any circumstance be confused with real cash or monetary rewards/prizes of any kind.

3. Met League team owners participating in a sim league may convert earned metros into fantasy sim league cash at any time by notifying a league officer.

4. Unless otherwise specified, 1 metro is equivalent to one fantasy sim league cash dollar.

5. Met Leaguers will also be awarded with 500,000 metros for winning a simulation sports league title (such as the Stengel Cup), and 300,000 metros for winning a fantasy league title or offseason tournament title (such as the champions league or winter leagues in baseball). Individual leagues such as the MBLS may also elect to award metro winnings to teams to division and pennant winners.

- While Stengel Cup winners in the MBLS will be awarded with 500,000 metros, MBLS division winners will be awarded with 50,000 metros, while pennant winners will be awarded with 100,000 metros. These bonuses shall be mutually exclusive of each other.

6. Fantasy leagues may set their own level of metro compensation for winning various levels of their competition(s).

- Currently, all Met Leaguers participating in fantasy leagues will gain 1,000 metros for each league they enter.

- Currently, all Met Leaguers participating in the Metropolitan Golf League (MGL) and Metropolitan Racing Association (MRA) fantasy leagues will gain 100 metros for each point earned in those fantasy league competitions.

GLOBAL GAMES

1. The Met Leagues contest season shall begin each year on the day after the Super Bowl (NFL championship game) and end on the day of Super Bowl each year.

2. The Met Leaguers who finish among the top three metros earners in every season shall be awarded a Gold, Silver or Bronze medal based on their final placement at the end of the season. If two Met Leaguers finish tied for any of the top three placements, medals will be awarded to both Met Leaguers.

AMENDMENTS

1. These rules and regulations may be modified by league officers at any time or for any reason.
