Sabathia, Smith capture Tom Seaver Awards

Indianapolis' left-hander C.C. Sabathia was untouchable all year long. And for the second consecutive season, his hard work paid off today as the Johnson League named him the Tom Seaver Award winner! C.C. has a record of 20-5 this season, with an ERA of 2.03. In 230.2 Innings he was able to strike out 211 batters. He has 5 complete games and one shutout. He's 2nd in the Johnson League in ERA and 1st in wins! Sabathia wins the award for the 2nd time in his 6-year career.

All the hard work paid off for Atlanta's Bud Smith. The southpaw was named the Tom Seaver Award winner in the Hodges League today. His ERA of 3.04 helped him to a 21-3 record this year. He struck out 226 and walked 57 in 225.1 innings. He has 3 complete games and one shutout. He's 10th in the Hodges League in ERA and 1st in wins!
