Glaus, Thompson earn MVP honors

For the second consecutive season, the Most Valuable Player in the Hodges League was handed to Atlanta's third baseman Troy Glaus! His season features a batting average of .303 (180 hits in 594 AB), 36 doubles, 7 triples and 47 bombs. Glaus collected 142 RBI and 138 runs as well. He finished first in the Hodges League in RBIs and first in homeruns! Glaus won the award for the 2nd time in his 9-year career.

In the Johnson League, Cincinnati's leftfielder Craig Thompson added to his trophy case by picking up the JL MVP trophy for 2007. This year, Thompson drove in 93 and scored 88 runs while batting .419 with 8 longballs. He finished first in the Johnson League in batting, and captured the Jon Matlack Award for the league's outstanding rookie earlier this week.
